Why We Love It: The Sur de Hula is an exceptionally balanced and versatile coffee with notes of toffee, citrus, and white grape. The sweetness and body in this coffee lends itself to being great in a variety of brew methods and roast styles.
Farm Story: this regional blend of coffees from the department of Huila was put together by our exporting partners Azahar Coffee, and was produced by families from the municipalities of Pitalito, Palestina and Acevedo. In constructing this blend Azahar worked closely with our oldest cooperative in Huila, Cadefihuila, to find coffees that were intensely fragrant, sweet, and balanced. Both the cooperative and Azahar share the vision of protecting every link in the long chain of coffee production by paying a fair price to each of the producers and also focusing on quality and consistency.
